The Journal of Ankara Studies, published twice a year by the Vehbi Koç and Ankara Research Center (VEKAM), is a peer-reviewed journal. The Journal of Ankara Studies aims to disseminate academic studies that reveal new knowledge about Ankara's urban elements using scientific methods, regardless of subject or field.

The journal accepts original research articles that reveal novel knowledge on the city of Ankara utilizing methodologies and approaches of humanitarian, normative, and positive sciences.

The types of manuscripts that are accepted for publication are Research and Review Articles (For more information see “Article Types”).
The Journal of Ankara Studies is published twice a year, in June and December. No special issues are published.
The publication languages of the Journal of Ankara Studies are English and Turkish. Manuscripts can be submitted in Turkish or English. The submitted manuscript should comply with the grammar and spelling rules, as well as related scientific literature standards.
Turkish articles should adhere to the grammar and writing rules of the Turkish Language Association and glossaries of professional organizations (such as Glossary of Library Terms).
English articles should follow the writing rules and style outlined in the Publication Manual 7th Edition of the American Psychological Association (2020).

The journal does not charge authors or other parties for submitting, processing or publication of an article.
No fee or compensation is paid for published articles.
